My Boxycharm Review February 2017
Boxycharm is a monthly subscription box which can contain makeup, skin or hair products, nail polishes, brushes, etc. Every box contains from 5-6 full size products, but you only pay 21 dollars each month. I love this box because it's like receiving a little gift from you to you every month. It's also a great opportunity to try new products, because who hasn't experienced the disappointment of buying something and then finding out it doesn't work for you? Through Boxycharm you're able to discover new brands without paying the full price for it. You can also see some sneak peaks on the Boxycharm social media, but what's exciting is that there are always two mystery products for each subscriber, so you never know what you're going to get (sometimes it drives me nuts, I must say).
Anyways, these are the products I received this month:
1. Trio Eye Kit by Sedona Lace - $39.95
This kit comes with the brushes EB-17, EB-16, and EB-13. The first one is a Brow Spoolie Duo, the second one if a Synthetic Eyeliner Brush, and the last one is a Synthetic Blender. I received the EB-13 on an IPSY bag before, and it's one of my favorites, so I'm excited to have two now. Also, these brushes have excellent quality, and they're perfect to create a whole eye look.
2. Two Eyeshadow Pans by Makeup Geek - $6 each.
These eyeshadows are well pigmented, affordable, cruelty-free, and they have many shades you can choose from. The shades I received were Beaches and Cream, and Glamorous (these two look beautiful together).
3. Mineral Matt Lipstick by Doucce - $20
Although it's a good lipstick, I wouldn't spend 20 dollars on this product. I think there are better Drugstores brands, but it's nice because I didn't have to pay the full price for it. Anyways, this is a beautiful shade that you can wear with different makeup looks, and it doesn't dry out your lips even though it's a matte lipstick. Also, you can find it cheaper on Amazon and Walmart.
4. Microdermabrasion by Dr. Brandt - $79
Yes, this is an expensive skin exfoliant, but it's worth its price. I have wore it a couple of times and it leaves my skin smooth and clean. I'm also excited because the description says that it improves acne scars, so I'll post a review in a couple of months to see if it actually works.
Application according to Boxycharm: Dampen skin with warm water, then massage cream onto skin for 1-2 minutes. Rinse well. Best if used 1-2 times per week allowing 3 days between application.
5. Small Z Palette by Z Palette - $14
This Z palette is so cute! It was exclusively made for Boxycharm, but you can customize your own on their website. Also, this palette can store 9 standard- sized round pans, so you can store pans from different brands like Makeup Geek, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Colourpop, etc.
These are the products I received this month, and it has been my favorite box so far. I also believe this is the best subscription box because you receive way more than what you pay for. Anyways, I can't wait to see what I'm getting in March! Stay tuned ;)
See you soon,
PS. Thank you Camila Michelly Jones for trying my Foundation Routine! You look beautiful!
