Swinging in the Clouds

I noticed the other day
While swinging in the clouds
That life is quite a joke
There is no way back
Things always come and go
When you think things are right
You break a leg and are left to cry
Sometimes you break all your bones
You wait for the perfect day
To wear that white dress
But you get your period
And you know what happens next
I learned the other day
While swinging in the clouds
That I’ve lost all control
But I want to smile again
Always waiting for the ball to drop
Forgetting about the meal I just had
And the chances to cuddle
With someone who’s still close
I’m going to jump and swim
I will stop swinging
I will hold each raindrop
I will lay on the whiteness
I will start living
